Challenge:
The task was to create a concept for the modernization of large diagnostic devices, operating theaters, hygiene improvements and the digital networking of all hospitals and clinics in Mali. The digital networking is intended to counteract the lack of medical professionals, simplify processes and also enable electronic medical record to be created. A cost and benefit analysis should be part of the concept.
Achievement of objectives:
The study includes the current situation, the necessary measures and requirements for the aim as well as all necessary investment and running cost and benefit calculations. The study also contains all the services required for implementation, the training of all employees and the total maintenance for all equipment and software for the sustainability. The study was included by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in the overall concept for the modification and transformation of health facilities in order to apply for aid money.
